Adding a folder in Windows Explorer

Working with the Windows Explorer, you may add any folder to the list of your favorite folders. Note: This folder may be located on your PC or LAN, or an FTP or Web site. To add the current folder to the list, open it, then click the handy folder icon and select Add current folder command from drop-down list To add any folder from tree view, right-click it and select Add to Handy Folders from pop-up menu. The Add folder dialog box opens.



See path to the folder in the Add folder field. Type in the name of the folder in the New title(s) edit box To add your folder a category, select it in the Add to category drop-down list; see Click OK. The specified name will be accessible from the Handy Folders pop-up menu; see Going to the location you need for detail.

Configuring the folders list

In the Configure Handy Folder dialog box, click Favorite Folders in the left panel to open the Favorite folders panel; Use right buttons and drag-and-drop technique to configure the list of favorite folders. To open a folder in the Windows Explorer, double-click it in the list. When you are done, click Apply or OK to save the changes, or click Cancel to close the window without saving.



Adding a folder

To add a new folder to your list, do the following: Click Add. Browse for Folder dialog box opens. Find the necessary folder or click New folder to create a new folder, and click OK. The item shows in the list. In the Folder Properties pane edit the Title and/or Path as appropriate - see Editing a folder for detail.



Put the new item to a desired place by drag-and-drop or using Move Up and Move Down buttons. Note: The changes you've made do not take effect until you click either Apply or OK.

Editing a folder

You may edit the name and path of any folder in the list of your favorite folders.
To do so, go to the Folder Properties pane of configuration dialog.



To edit Title, just make the corresponding changes in the Title edit box. The changes are immediately displayed in the list above. To edit Path, either make changes manually in the Path edit box, or click the icon to select another folder. Optionally select one of predefined categories to include the new item in it. Note: All your changes immediately display in the list. To save the changes, click either Apply or OK.

Adding a category

You may create a category, and include a number of favorite folders in it.
To create a new category, click Add category in configuration dialog; an is added to your list.
To edit a new or existing category, make changes in the Category properties pane:



Edit the category name in the Title edit box.
To assign an icon to the category, click the Icon drop-down list. In the open window with different icons click one of the tabs: Folders, Documents, Internet, Hardware, Miscellaneous. Select a folder to display with the category. Note: All your changes immediately display in the list. To save the changes, click either Apply or OK.

Deleting list items

You may delete any item from the list of favorite folders:: a folder, category or separator. To delete an item in the list of favorite folders, select it, and click Delete item. Click Yes in the confirmation box. To delete all items, click Delete all. Confirm your choice. Note: If the item you are deleting is a category, all included folders will be also deleted.

To save your changes, click either Apply or OK.
